Our Guaranteed Payment Program guarantees that Guilded, not the client, pays you ON TIME. As soon as you complete and deliver your work, you can click through to your project in our user portal and submit an invoice. This triggers an automatic email to your client/project manager, requesting confirmation that work was completed. When the client clicks the confirmation button in this email, we start processing your payment. It's that quick and simple.
Our users typically receive funds directly deposited into their bank accounts 2-3 business days after their clients confirm completion of work. If your client in unresponsive for several days, we reach out to them directly so that you aren't left waiting for your wages.
Taxes, simplified.
Using Guilded offers two signifiant advantages when tax season comes around. First, Guilded will provide you with a single, unified 1099 form that covers all of the contracts you have processed through our user portal. That means that you will not need to chase clients for tax documentation and that a pile of paperwork can be reduced to a single line item on your tax return covering all of your freelancer work for the entire year.
Additionally, we offer users filing in Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, Pennsylvania, New York, and California with complimentary annual federal and state tax preparation services through one of our tax preparation partners. These services include hands-on, attentive, and informed tax preparation support to maximize your tax return and help you maintain accurate tax records. For an additional fee, our tax preparation partners can also help you file any 1099s for subcontractors you hire, as well as handle local municipality taxes.
As we grow, we will expand this benefit to users filing in other states well.

Guilded offers supplementary health care benefits. What this means is that Guilded’s health care offerings are not intended to be full substitutes for traditional health insurance. Nevertheless, we strive to give our users access to care that may otherwise be out of reach. Guilded’s supplementary health care options can be paired with separate insurance for better access to care.
We currently offer highly subsidized Direct Primary Care (DPC) for Philadelphia-based users. DPC providers work outside of the health insurance models of PPO, HMO and POS. Instead, DPC providers offer unlimited primary care in exchange for a monthly fee. Become a patient of our Philadelphia DPC partners, Radiance Medical Group, only costs $30/month for Guilded users with no extra charges or co-pays required. Radiance employs health care professionals who value the needs of diverse LGBTQ+ and POC patients. During 2025, we hope to expand out DPC offerings to other metro areas.
Guilded is continually working to expand our benefits for members. By mid-summer 2025, we plan to offer a 50% discount on the following coverage obtained through the Freelancers Union
Following the roll out of these benefits, we are looking towards offering subsidized liability insurance for freelancers.
